摘要: A method monitors an operation of a fluid meter mounted in a fluid-supplying fluid distribution system. Wherein, by use of an ultrasonic transducer, an event, in the form of a noise generated during the operation of the fluid meter or a pressure surge generated in the distribution system, which is not attributable to the flow measurement and which mechanically excites the ultrasonic transducer, is selectively detected and evaluated and, by reference to a result of the evaluation, at least one fluid meter-specific operating property is generated.

摘要: An ultrasonic transducer arrangement has a housing for mounting the ultrasonic transducer arrangement in a through-hole in a housing of an ultrasonic water meter in a mounting plane. The housing of the meter contains an ultrasonic measuring section along which a transit time measurement can be carried out by the ultrasonic transducer arrangement. The ultrasonic transducer arrangement has a transducer body located in the housing for generating and/or receiving an acoustic signal, a housing wall assigned to the transducer body through which the acoustic signal runs, and an electrical contact for connecting the transducer body to a voltage or current source. The transducer body is positioned in the housing at an oblique angle with respect to the mounting plane. A holding device, which is oriented at an oblique angle with respect to the mounting plane is provided inside the housing, which exerts a holding force oriented towards the housing wall.

摘要: An ultrasonic fluid meter for determining the flow rate and/or volume of a flowing medium includes a housing, an inlet, an outlet, a first ultrasound measurement path including at least one ultrasound transducer, and a second ultrasound measurement path including at least one ultrasound transducer. The ultrasound measurement paths extend at an angle to one another inside the housing and intersect. The first ultrasound measurement path and the second ultrasound measurement path extend at an angle to one another and intersect in a common region, as seen in a projection plane of a flow cross section. A method for determining the flow rate and/or volume of a flowing medium is also provided.
