Abstract: A virtual cell site router, including a first module configured to receive an optical signal from a distributed unit and an optical splitter. The optical splitter can split the optical signal into a first part and one or more second parts. The first part of the signal is directed towards a unit, and the one or more second parts of the signal is directed toward one or more modules configured to monitor an aspect of the network.
