    Abstract: Techniques for criteria modification of wireless network infrastructure software package validation are provided. A NodeB includes a network entity that is a central unit, distributed unit or radio unit. A computer system receives data representing a pre-installation reference parameter determined when the network entity is operated using a first software package and receives data representing a post-installation reference parameter determined when the network entity is operated using a second software package. The computer system stores a criterion for validating the second software package, identifies a difference between the post-installation and pre-installation reference parameters, modifies the criterion based on the difference and determines whether to validate the second software package based on the modified criterion. If validated, the computer system, sends a signal to the NodeB indicating the validation, and the NodeB causes the second software package to be installed on the network entity.

    Abstract: Techniques for wireless network infrastructure software package validation based on transport channel indicators are provided. A NodeB has transport channels connecting a core network, central unit, distributed unit and radio unit. A computer system receives data representing pre-installation transport indicators of a transport channel determined when a network entity of the NodeB is operated using a first software package and receives data representing post-installation transport indicators of the transport channel determined when the network entity is operated using a second software package. The computer system compares post-installation and pre-installation transport indicators to determine a comparison result of a plurality of comparison results, determines whether to validate the second software package based on the comparison results and in response to determining to validate the second software package, sends a signal to the NodeB indicating validation. The NodeB causes the second software package to be installed on the network entity.

    Abstract: Technologies for network drive test prioritization based on machine learning are disclosed. An example method includes feeding a representation of routes of a target candidate drive test to a trained machine learning model to obtain a drive test prediction, wherein the trained machine learning model is trained based on integrating radio frequency (RF) estimations or predictions with past drive test data. The method also includes sorting a set of candidate drive tests for the communications network including the target candidate drive test, based on drive test predictions associated with each candidate drive test, to determine priorities for executing drive tests; and determining expectation of network usability in accordance with network availability and performance metrics.

The NodeB causes the second software package to be installed on the network entity.

    Abstract: Technologies for estimating performance for a communications network are disclosed. An example method includes obtaining a proposed entire coverage of the communications network, and prior to live traffic being generated by users on the communications network: determining a drive test pattern commensurate with the proposed entire coverage, causing performance of drive tests in accordance with the drive test pattern, and in real-time: analyzing drive test data from the drive tests, and generating emulated network performance metrics for the communications network based on the analyzing of the drive test data.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for automatically detecting wireless neighbor relationships within a wireless network. While a user device is using a first cell for communications, the user device detects and provides a physical cell identifier for a second cell to a computing device, e.g., the first cell or server. The computing device queries a relationship table of the first cell for a known handover relationship between the first cell and the second cell. If the table does not include the known handover relationship, the computing device instructs the user device to obtain a cell global identifier of the second cell. The computing device then adds a new handover relationship between the first cell and the second cell to the relationship table using the cell global identifier of the second cell. Communications for the user device can be automatically handed over from the first cell to the second cell.
