    摘要: An adjustable lighting apparatus includes a lighting module that is rotatably adjustable about a first rotation axis relative to an adjustable mount. The lighting module may include a heat sink, a driver, and a light source. The adjustable mount may include a base structure, a retainer, a shield, and a secondary shield. A trim may also be coupled to the adjustable mount. In some implementations, the lighting module translates along a first translation axis defined by the adjustable mount while rotating about the first rotation axis in order to reorient the light source while reducing shading losses caused by the adjustable mount. Openings in the base structure and the shield may be substantially covered at all rotational positions of the lighting module using a combination of the shield, the trim, the heat sink, and the secondary shield, thus eliminating the need for an additional enclosure.

    摘要: A lighting assembly includes a light source module including at least one LED, an AC to DC converter to receive an AC voltage and supply regulated electrical energy to power the light source module, a lens, and a heat-sinking unified casting. The casting includes a closed rear wall and a sidewall that defines a casting cavity containing the at least one LED. The closed rear wall and the sidewall are formed of a heat conductive material to dissipate heat generated by the light source module, and the sidewall has at least one exterior width dimension of less than 3½ inches. The assembly also includes a front end face coupled to the sidewall, and a twist-and-lock mechanism comprising multiple flanges that extend radially outward from a perimeter of the front end face, and/or at least one groove and/or at least one slot to form a twist-and-lock friction connection with a trim.

    摘要: A recessed lighting installation assembly includes a junction box having a cavity to contain a lighting system together with electrical wires from an electrical system of a building for connection to the lighting system. The assembly also includes a plurality of telescoping hangar bars coupled to the junction box to hold the junction box in a gap between a plurality of beams in the building. Each telescoping hangar bar is extendible and/or retractable to vary a length of the bar between the plurality of beams to meet the gap between the plurality of beams. A position of the junction box is adjustable along the length of each telescoping hangar bar between the plurality of beams. In one example, the recessed lighting installation assembly does not include a can, separate from the junction box, to contain the lighting system.

    摘要: A thin profile surface mount LED lighting apparatus includes a housing, an LED board including multiple uniformly distributed LEDs, and a lens. The lens has a back side facing the LED board and a front side that provides a downward facing surface when the LED lighting apparatus is installed in an opening of a ceiling. The lens is disposed with respect to the LED board such that the LEDs illuminate the back side of the lens. A first spacing of the LEDs causes resulting light from the downward facing surface of the lens to be substantially uniform during operation of the apparatus. In one example, a thin front edge of a sidewall of the housing, forming a perimeter around the lens, is flush with the lens and is appreciably thin (e.g., a thickness of less than three millimeters), and a depth of the sidewall housing is less than one inch.
