    Abstract: A process for separating adipic acid from a mixture of adipic, glutaric and succinic acids which comprises treating the mixture of acids under substantially anhydrous conditions with less than the stoichiometric amount of ammonia for complete ammoniation, separating the glutaric and succinic acids in the form of their corresponding imides and recovering adipic acid.
