    摘要： The present invention discloses a clothes dryer including a drum rotatably installed in a cabinet, a plurality of vent holes being formed on the circumferential surface of the drum, first and second ducts coupled to the drum, respectively, for sucking and exhausting air to/from the drum, and a fan motor for forcibly sending air through the first and second ducts. Here, at least one of the first and second ducts is linked to the plurality of vent holes. The clothes dryer can increase a capacity of the drum without increasing a size of the cabinet.

    摘要： A method for controlling a clothes dryer is disclosed to precisely dry clothes on the basis of a load amount according to moisture contained in clothes in the clothes dry and a temperature change according to proceeding drying of clothes. The method includes: detecting a load amount detect signal corresponding to an amount of moisture contained in clothes in a drum; setting a heater exit temperature range of the clothes dryer to pre-set first and second temperature ranges on the basis of the load amount detect signal, and first drying clothes in the drum within the pre-set first temperature range; second-drying clothes in the drum within the pre-set second temperature range; and cooling clothes in the drum when the first and second-drying processes are completed.

    摘要： An apparatus for suctioning external air of a clothes dryer, comprises a housing provided at one side with a suction port for introducing external air; a fan installed at the housing and generating a suction force for sucking external air while being rotated; a driving motor driving the fan; a guide duct guiding the external air introduced from the suction port to a condenser; and a grille installed at a predetermined gap from one side face of the housing where the suction port is to be installed so that a channel can be formed between the grille and the one side face and comprised of a plurality of grille plates extending in a direction lengthwise of the grille, one widthwise ends of the grille plates being bent toward the suction port. Accordingly, the apparatus has advantages such as a decrease in flow resistance, an improvement of a condensing effect and a decrease of vibration and noise by setting the flow amount and flow velocity of a cooling air to be suctioned in the best condition.

    摘要： A clothes dryer comprises: a cabinet; a drum rotatably installed within the cabinet; and an exhaust port for discharging air having passed through the drum, wherein the exhaust port includes first and second exhaust pipes respectively diverged to both sides of the cabinet, and exits of the first and second exhaust pipes are arranged at positions rotationally symmetric to each other by 180° with respect to a vertical axis passing through the center of the cabinet. Since panels constituting right and left walls of the cabinet are fabricated by one process thus to be commonly applied to the right and left sides of the cabinet, the number of fabrication processes is reduced thus to enhance a productivity.

    摘要： A low current motor protector (10, 10′) has an oblong metal housing (12) defining a switch chamber and formed with an open end. The housing has opposing flange portions extending transversely from the open end. Spaced apart lid portions (18a, 18b; 18a′, 18b′) are received on and clamped to the flange portions with an electrically insulating gasket (16) having a central opening interposed between the housing and the lid parts. The lid parts are formed with a recessed ceramic heater seat disposed in the switch chamber having spaced apart contact shelves (18f) which receives a ceramic heater (20) which is maintained in place and provided with contact force by a spring clip (22, 22′) attached to one of the lid parts. In another embodiment a coil heater (30) is electrically connected between lid parts (28a, 28b) and is disposed in a recess formed by a dome configuration (28f). A thermostatic switch is mounted in the housing and has a movable electrical contact movable into and out of engagement with a stationary electrical contact on one of the lid parts.
