摘要: The present invention includes a method of creating analysis suitable models from discrete point sets. The proposed methodology is completely automated, requiring no human intervention, as compared to traditional mesh-based methods that often require manual input. The present invention is directly applicable to engineering approaches in medicine where the object to be analyzed is described by discrete medical images, such as MRI or CT scans. Moreover, the present invention is useful in any application where the object of interest is created from digitized imaging technology.
