摘要： The disclosed invention relates to a video display system having a device for shielding electromagnetic radiation emitted from electrical wires which connect a video amplifier to a cathode ray tube. The device uses inexpensive unshielded wires which are recessed within a conductive shielding enclosure. The wires are connected to the cathode ray tube by a socket which is positioned at an access opening in the shielding enclosure. The invention further relates to a device for mounting a shielding enclosure to a base using tabs on the enclosure which are captured in an interference fit between the surface of the base and brackets coupled to the base.

摘要： An computer assembly having an integral video display and processor subsystem in a single enclosure is described. The assembly contains an electrically conductive safety wall inside the enclosure which separates the interior of the enclosure into a high-voltage region where the video display components are mounted, and a low-voltage region where the processor subsystem is mounted. The enclosure has a removable rear cover which allows access to the processor subsystem for upgrading memory. An electrically conductive liner is attached to the rear cover for EMI shielding of the low-voltage region.

摘要： The invention relates to an enclosure for computers that is formed by slidably joining together two chassis portions. A groove formed in a wall of one chassis portion mates with a tongue formed in a wall of the other chassis portion. The tongue enters one end of the groove and slides throughout the groove's length until the two chassis portions become fully joined and form a completed enclosure. The combination of the tongue and groove forms a slidable tongue and groove joint. When both chassis portions are made of electrically conductive material, the tongue and groove joint effectively inhibits the passage of electromagnetic radiation through the seam that forms at the juncture of the two chassis portions.
