Abstract:
Systems and methods for enabling data messaging in a wireless communications system is provided in one embodiment. Wireless messaging is enabled by having a host service send enable messages to a mobile communications device. Once an enable message has been received at the mobile communications device, the generation of an event causes the mobile communications device to send a fetch message to the host service to retrieve messages.
Abstract:
A wireless communication system, comprising a host service, a wireless router system coupled to the host service, a wireless network coupling the wireless router system and a wireless mobile communication device (“mobile device”), adaptively delivers data to the mobile device in the wireless communication system using a pull message delivery mechanism. In one embodiment, before the actual message is sent to the mobile device, a small notification message is sent first to enable the mobile device to send a pull request to the host to fetch the incoming message. Upon activation of a session, a pull request is sent from the device to the host service to fetch the incoming data message. The data message may be an e-mail message.

In a preferred embodiment, if a data message is received at the host service outside of an active session, a corresponding notification message is sent while no session is active to provide notification that a data message has been received at host service and is ready for retrieval. Upon activation of a session, a pull request is sent from the device to the host service to fetch the incoming data message. The data message may be an e-mail message.

Abstract:
A method of operating a host service in a communication system which includes the host service and a mobile device, includes receiving a data message for the mobile device at the host service; determining whether a service session between the host service and the mobile device is active; if the service session is inactive: creating a notification message at the host service, the notification message indicating the data message and the mobile device; forwarding the notification message for subsequent delivery to the mobile device, the notification message associated with an application of a plurality of applications on the mobile device; and subsequent to an active service session being established between the host service and the mobile device, sending the data message indicated by the notification message to the mobile device during the active service session; and if the service session is active, sending the data message to the mobile device during the active service session without creating a notification message.
Abstract:
A method of operating a router for enabling communication between a plurality of host services and a mobile device is described. The method includes receiving notification messages from a host service of the plurality of host services, where the plurality of host services support a plurality of message types. Each notification message has contents indicating a destination mobile device and a data message for the destination mobile device stored on the host service. The data message has a message type corresponding to one of the plurality of message types. The method further includes determining whether a first active service session with the destination mobile device exists and, if the first active service session exists, then sending the notification message to the destination mobile device for subsequent retrieval of the indicated data message stored on the host service using a second active service session between the destination mobile device and the host service. The method further includes, if no active service session exists, then holding the notification message until a new active session is detected, and upon detecting the new active session, sending the notification message to the destination mobile device for subsequent retrieval of the indicated data message stored on the host service using a second active service session between the destination mobile device and the host service.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for a wireless communication system used for transmitting and receiving information, the information not containing identification of the information's intended recipient. A method for transmitting payload information, the method comprising providing verification information scrambling a portion of the verification information and transmitting the payload information with the scrambled verification information portion. Also provided is a method for processing transmitted payload information incorporated into an encoded information message with scrambled verification information, the method comprising receiving the encoded information message descrambling at least a portion of the scrambled verification information and comparing said descrambled verification information with predetermined verification information processing said payload information based on said comparison.

Abstract:
A combined heat and power system comprising a Stirling engine (1) the head (2) of which is heated by a burner. A heat exchanger (10) absorbs heat from exhaust gases from the burner which have heated the engine head. A supplementary burner (22, 23) generates additional heat which is directly absorbed by the heat exchanger. The supplementary burner is a multi-stage burner with separate stages (22, 23) which are independently controlled.
Abstract:
The apparatus comprises a controller; a spinal cradle rod; at least one vertebral module, the at least one vertebral module comprising at least one tension arm and at least one sensory pad, the at least one sensory pad comprising at least one emitter. The at least one vertebral module is in mechanical communication with and affixed to the spinal cradle rod; the at least one emitter is in electrical communication with the controller; and the controller provides input signals to the at least one emitter. The spinal cradle rod is the structural base of the therapeutic system and can be set to the proper curvature of the spine, and is adjustable according to the height and weight of the user.
