摘要: A claim pre-processing system employs trial adjudication to improve claim accuracy prior to claim submission to a healthcare payer institution or other entity. A system processes claim data related to provision of healthcare to a patient The system includes a claim data collator for collating data related to a claim for a particular patient for submission to a payer and a source of rules for use in processing collated claim data. A pre-processor submits the collated claim data for processing using the rules to validate the collated claim data is in condition for processing to initiate generation of payment. A claim processor submits the collated claim data to a payer, in response to successful validation by the pre-processor. A rules processor processes acquired claim data to identify a condition triggering application of a different set of rules for determining validity of an individual claim element. The pre-processor re-submits amended collated claim data for processing using the rules to validate the collated claim data is in condition for processing to initiate generation of payment, the amended collated claim data being received in response to unsuccessful validation using the rules.

摘要: A patient claim data processing system responds to and initiates clinical events and attains early accurate claim data during a patient healthcare encounter cycle to support prompt claim data validation and editing both for individual claim elements and for a completed claim to improve claim accuracy prior to claim submission to a payer. The system submits accurate claims to payers and receives remittance advice from payers and applies rules to the advice. A system processes financial data related to provision of healthcare to a patient in response to clinical events. The system includes an interface processor for receiving a message identifying an event and a related change in healthcare data concerning a patient and also includes a source of rules for determining characteristics associated with reimbursement for provision of an individual service to a patient. A rules processor initiates application of a rule derived from the rules source to process financial data concerning provision of the individual service to the patient in response to receiving the message identifying the event. A result processor initiates an action in response to a result derived by the application of the rule to process the financial data. The rules processor also validates the financial data complies with the rule.

摘要: A valve trim for a pressure reduction valve containing a plurality of high hydraulic flow resistance flowpaths therethrough. Each flowpath comprises at least two inlets (208, 209) and at least one impingement zone (210) having two zone inlets (211, 212) and two zone outlets (213, 214). The zone inlets (211, 212) communicate with the inlets (208, 209) and are arranged substantially 180 degrees to one another. The two zone outlets (213, 214) are arranged substantially perpendicular to the zone inlets (211, 212) such that flow entering the two zone inlets (211, 212) mutually impinges on itself creating an area of high energy loss, and thereafter separates and exits through the zone outlets (213, 214).

摘要: A feedback device, for use by a golfer to indicate head movement during a backswing. The device has a base, a forward plate having a transparent portion with a printed horizontal line thereupon, and a parallel mirrored surface located behind the forward plate. A reflected horizontal line is selectively viewed through the transparent portion. When the device is viewed at a first viewing angle, only a single line is visible, such that the reflected horizontal line is blocked from the golfer's view by the printed horizontal line. When the device is viewed at a second viewing angle, both lines are visible. Accordingly vertical head movement during the backswing is immediately apparent to the golfer when both lines become visible during the backswing.

摘要: A dual fuel gasification-combustion system (44)with multi-stage fluidised bed gasifier (32)for complete carbon conversion of the input fuel using single or combineable oxidants and sulphur sorbents to produce a clean fuel gas and combustion gas at any pressure for use with boilers gas turbines,or, combined cycle gas-steam turbines. The application (44) for combined cycle power includes a multi-stage gasifier (32)with design number of stages to maximise carbon conversion of input liquid or solid fuels being connected to a gas turbine (53)via gas cleaners (45),(47)and afterburner (46)to produce a clean combustion gas entering the gas turbine. The system has coolant conduits (6) in the gasifier and in the afterburner at (50) and generated steam from the boiler (54) for the steam turbine (51). The system also includes fuel storage and delivery system (38) and storage and seperation unit (39) for seperation of carbon from ash and spent sorbent, the latter regenerated for re-use in the gasifier or for disposal;booster burners (59) as alternative to burn off minor amounts of carbon from seperation unit (39).Embodiments of the system are described with accompanying drawings.

摘要: Nutritional products are prepared using a dual fermentation process in which distinct and separate botanical fermentation and probiotic fermentation steps increase nutritional value and/or quality of a vitamin or other nutritionally relevant compound. Alternatively, both fermentation steps could also be combined. Most preferably, a nutritionally desirable carrier such as cow milk, soy milk, or rice milk is used as fermentation medium, which is then subjected to a botanical fermentation with a sprout extract and a probiotic fermentation with a lactobacillus culture. It is further preferred that at least one of the fermentation steps is performed in the presence of the vitamin or other nutritionally relevant compound.

摘要: A valve having a trim comprising a plurality of impingement flowpaths, each flowpath comprising a central impingement chamber and having three radially directed inlet passages is provided. As the fluid floes through the inlet passages and enters the impingement chamber the flow starts to turn and impinge upon one another at a substantially central point within the impingement chamber and exit together via the outlet which is substantially axial to the impingement chamber. As the flows entering the impingement chamber impinge on one another as opposed to a wall of the flowpath, the impingement can be used to create a flowpath with reduced erosion.
