    摘要: A valve 100 comprising a magnetic circuit comprising a first member 101 and a pivotably mounted armature 102 the armature being movable between a position in which the valve seal 104 engages the valve seat 105 of valve port 103 to block the valve port 103, and a position away from the first member 101. A coil 106 surrounds the armature 102 which, when supplied with an electric current, creates a magnetic field in the armature 102 attracting the free end to the first member 101. Dampening pads 110 are provided on the armature 102. Each dampener pad 110 comprises a layer of viscoelastic material covered by a protective layer of polyetheretherketone (PEEK). During use, as there is wear between the armature 102 and the first member 101, and/or non magnetic section 107, the dampening pad 110 is compressed on impact by an increasing degree, thus the more worn the valve becomes, the more the dampening and thus the greater the protection against further wear.

    摘要: A modular apparatus (10) for preparing dilute chemical compositions at the point of use, e.g., a customer's plant, is disclosed. The apparatus has upstream and downstream ends and includes an axial manifold (52) having a plurality inlet ports extending radially toward the center of the manifold, a valve (53) operatively connected to each inlet port, component supply conduits (18) operatively connected to the valve (53), at least one component supply vessel heater (23) proximate at least one liquid component supply container (12), a pump (56) in fluid communication with the manifold (52) to draw the liquid components into and through the manifold (52), a microprocessor controller (11) in communication with the valves (53) and (61) and pump (56), a flowmeter (60) in communication with the microprocessor (11) downstream of the manifold (52), a three-way valve (61) in fluid communication with the pump (55), and a container (70) which is in fluid communication with the three-way valve (61 ) in which the chemical composition is formed.Also disclosed is a method for dispensing aqueous cleaning compositions at a point of use.

    摘要: An electrically operated pre-mix valve includes a cup lever operable to activate a switch to energize a solenoid. The solenoid operates a first lever, which then contacts and operates a second lever. The second lever, in turn, moves against the contact end of an actuating shaft. The actuating shaft is thereby moved to permit beverage flow through the valve and out of a nozzle thereof. Thus, the valve herein uses a compound lever system to gain a mechanical advantage for substantially lessening the opening force required to be applied by the solenoid.
