The subject disclosure pertains to systems and methods for providing an improved user interface for mobile devices. A user interface can obtain content including data and associated tasks from a set of software applications. Consequently, users can access content from multiple applications without navigating away from the user interface. The system architecture is extensible, providing for the addition of applications and user interfaces without requiring modification of the existing applications or user interfaces. Applications can register data suppliers capable of retrieving data from the underlying data store for the application and task executors capable of acting on the data. A user interface can generate a query requesting a class of data and specifying a context used to filter possible results. The system can determine the appropriate data suppliers, distribute queries and return the assembled results to the user interface.

Various embodiments of a system and method for highly scalable data clustering are described. Embodiments may include generating contexts of information from item-level data for multiple items; each context may include tokens that each represents an aggregate characteristic of items associated with that context. Embodiments may also include comparing the tokens of different contexts to determine measures of similarity between the contexts. Embodiments may also include grouping at least some of the contexts into clusters with other contexts based on the determined measures of similarity. Embodiments may include, subsequent to detecting a first context and a second context as being members of a common cluster, correcting item level-data of an item associated with the second context based on item-level data of an item associated with the first context.

Systems and methods are provided for presenting item information to a user based on entity relationships. The items may be presented, for example, in response to a search request or as a recommendation of an item of potential interest to a user. In some embodiments, item information associated with a first item of interest to a user may be retrieved from a data store. A first entity related to the first item may be determined based on information retrieved from the data store. A second entity related to the first entity may then be determined, and a second item related to the second entity may be identified. Information identifying the second item may then be presented as a recommended item to the user.

Embodiments herein include a content manager that constructs vocabulary from the PDF form fields to classify documents. The content manager can associate a PDF form with a markup language schema (such as an XML Schema) so that PDF form fields are semantically bounded with XML schema elements. The XML schema elements can define semantics of form fields and specify other constraints on XML elements and attributes. The content manager then associates selected form fields from the PDF form with a content folder to construct a set of properties to apply to inbound PDF form data to classify documents.

Execution of the protocol avoids or reduces frame drops and/or reordering. In this protocol, peer switches perform various actions when bringing down an ISL in a synchronized manner. In one implementation, this protocol uses the Exchange Peer Protocol (EPP) as the underlying transport to carry the port shutdown protocol frames.
