The processor can be programmed to place the electronic device or a portion (14 or 18) of the electronic device in a locked mode and enable (408) electronic access to any predetermined contact number designated as an emergency contact number notwithstanding the locked mode. The electronic device can be for example a cellular phone, a smart phone, a cordless home phone, a personal digital assistant, a wireless messaging device, an MP3 player, a laptop computer, or a lockable solid state memory device. The electronic device can be a wireless communication device and the emergency contact number can be contained in an electronic phonebook (19) within the storage medium.

The method includes generating (416) a second signal quality measurement that is conveyed over a peer-to-peer connection (120) between the communication device (102) and the peer. The method further includes determining (418), based upon the second signal quality measurement, whether or not the source of the signaling problem is a fault in the communication device (102). The method can further include generating (423) a third signal quality measurement that can be compared to the first signal quality measurement for determining a source of the signaling problem.

摘要： The present invention provides a multidirectional exerciser for hand, wrist and forearm comprising a handle having an axial opening through which a bolt extends. A spring means is around one end of the bolt disposed against an adjustment ring. A resistance knob is mounted on the adjustment ring. A pressure plate is mounted at the opposite end of the handle between the handle and the head of the bolt. At least one clutch disc is disposed against the pressure plate. A knob is mounted around the pressure plate and clutch disc, mounted for relative rotational movement with respect to the handle. The wrists and hands are exercised by holding the handle in one hand and the knob/grip member in the other hand, and repetitively twisting the handle and knob/grip member in opposite directions. A detachable grip member is mounted over said knob and the detachable grip member further comprises a gyro ring and a squeeze grip strengthener.

摘要： An electric grill for use to create healthier meals is disclosed. The electric grill comprises a support structure which holds a top heating section and a bottom heating section connected by a hinge. The hinge allows for a wide range of movement whereby the top heating section may be face to face with the bottom heating section, may be perpendicular, or may be at a 180 degree angle. Moreover, the top and bottom heating sections may be tilted such that excess grease, oils and juices may be separated from the food being cooked. The electric grill disclosed herein also may include a digital read-out display and a user input keypad.

摘要： The present invention is an exercise device, primarily for aerobic exercise. The invention is a hybrid between a toy called a pogo stick, a stair stepper, a trampoline and a ski simulator. The present invention combines the exercise a user receives from an exercise machine with the enjoyment a user receives from a toy. The user stands on pedals and grasps a handle, then either steps up and down against elastic resistance, or bounces up and down. The user may also swing from side to side or scissor his legs. Additionally, a pivot allows a combination of motions, such as scissoring while bouncing up and down. The amount of resistance may be controlled by adding or modifying elastic components.
