摘要： Apparatus for dispatching boards of lumber from packages of sawn boards delivered to at least one predetermined position. At least one arm is pivotally supported adjacent one end at a pivot point with its other end being rotatable around the pivot point. A dispatch pan mounted for rotation at the other end of said arm has a face at its forward side, as viewed in the direction of rotation of said arm, disposed to engage at least one board adjacent said first position and transfer it to a preselected position at an angular distance from said first position. Controlled means rotates the arm about its pivot point to move the dispatch pan from said first position to preselected positions and subsequently around to said first position to start another cycle of operation.

摘要： A sawmill in which a multi-log supporting mechanism is constructed wherein logs are grasped at spaced angular positions about the mechanism and rotated by it between an initial receiving position to a profile measurement position and then to a sawing position. The end-to-end axis of the supporting mechanism is adjustably oriented with respect to a saw in terms of profile measurements and size of lumber determined to be cut from a log. Directionally, this adjustment is made normal to the profile measurement dimension.

摘要： A remotely controlled rotatable crane for loading logs on a live deck. The crane includes a carriage having a horizontal bed rotatable on a circular track about a verticle axis, the bed carrying a truss assembly extending upwardly and radially outwardly from the bed. The distal end of the truss assembly carries a vertically movable and rotatable grapple. A winch and cable raises and lowers the grapple. A counterweight is disposed on the carriage to counter balance the truss assembly. Electrohydraulic controls operate the winch for raising and lowering the grapple, controls the rotation of the grapple about a vertical axis and its opening and closing and controls the movement of the carriage about its vertical axis. Hydraulic motors also drive wheels on the track for rotating the carriage about a vertical axis.
