Abstract:
A journal of a drying cylinder or the like, in a paper, cardboard or coating machine, is mounted in a bearing housing which is supported in fixed position on a frame. A hollow, cylindrically widened housing for an electric drive motor is formed as an extension of the bearing housing toward the drying cylinder. This motor housing, together with the bearing housing, forms a continuous outer surface for the drive system. The motor is a permanent-magnet motor whose stator has electromagnet poles which are arranged in the hollow cylindrical housing. Its rotor has permanent-magnet poles, which form a hollow cylindrical ring mounted on the circumference of the journal. The drive system consists of only a few parts, requires only a small amount of space for installation, and is easily and inexpensively serviceable.
Abstract:
The invention creates a device for deaerating fiber stock suspension including a horizontal cylinder tank, an inlet, an outlet opening, and a vacuum connection. An overflow tube may be positioned independently of the location of the inlet for the fiber stock suspension and the outlet for the deaerated fiber stock suspension.
Abstract:
Method for supplying fibrous suspension to at least one headbox that includes degassing a diluting liquid via rotation of a rotor of a degassing device to apply centrifugal forces to the diluting liquid, guiding the degassed diluting liquid out of the degassing device into a separate diluting water pump, and mixing at least a portion of the degassed diluting liquid with a high-consistency suspension to form the fibrous suspension.
Abstract:
The invention serves to feed a fibrous suspension (S) to a headbox (1) of a paper or cardboard machine (2) or to a filter device. The fibrous suspension (S) can be generated, e.g., by mixing a high-consistency suspension (4) with a diluting liquid (5). The method uses at least one degassing device (6), the effect of which corresponds to that of a centrifuge. The method can be carried out in a space-saving manner and makes it possible, e.g., to omit large degassing containers.
Abstract:
Process and device for the mixing of suspensions with possibly different natures and/or compositions in the stable section of a paper machine. In the process, a suspension, particularly of the backwater of the paper machine, is piped in a mixing tube with the main flow direction in the longitudinal direction of the tube, and additional suspensions, with possibly different solid content, are injected. In the device, a mixing device and piping carry the suspension in the stable section of a paper or cardboard machine and blend suspensions with a higher solid content into a first suspension with little or no solid content. The mixing device and piping include a tube, at least one inlet for the first suspension, a plurality of feeds for the higher solid content suspensions to be admixed, and one outlet for the blended suspension, with a new solid content, arranged downstream from a bend in the tube. The mixing tube extends over a plane including sections of the tube upstream and downstream of the bend, and the impeller axis of a downstream pump is perpendicular to this plane.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an arrangement for obtaining a fiber suspension for producing a web of paper, cardboard, tissue, or other fibers from at least one high-consistency flow containing fibrous material and filling material in the approach flow system of a fiber web manufacturing machine, at least one high-consistency flow being directed through at least one screening device. In order to reduce the screening effort, the accept from the screening device is directed to the headbox of the machine, and the reject from the screening device is redirected upstream into a high-consistency flow.

Abstract:
An apparatus and method serves, e.g., to deaerate, clean or screen a fibrous suspension and is provided with a closed housing and a rotor arranged centrally therein. The rotor puts at least a part of the fibrous suspension guided into the housing into a rotational flow. The fibrous suspension flowing into the housing through the inlet is put into rotation by a guide element acting hydraulically. This increase the efficiency of the apparatus and prevents disturbing turbulences in the apparatus.
Abstract:
Mixing and recirculation cycling system and method, for use in the stable section of a paper or cardboard machine. The system includes a dilution water-regulated headbox, a backwater tank having a backwater inlet and at least one stock suspension inlet adapted to provide for the mixing of stock suspensions with the backwater. Also provided is a mixing tank operatively connected to the backwater tank, at least one backwater inlet operatively connected between the backwater tank and the headbox, and a pressure-increasing device operatively connected between the mixing tank and the backwater tank. The method includes feeding backwater from the wet section into a backwater tank, feeding the return flow into a mixing tank, mixing the return flow in the mixing tank, injecting the return flow from the mixing tank into a lower region of the backwater tank via a pressure increasing device, mixing the return flow with the backwater and added fresh stock, and feeding the return flow to the headbox via a separation device.
Abstract:
Degassing device that includes a housing, a rotor having a rotatable interior arranged within the housing, an inlet for adding a liquid to be degassed, the inlet being structured to open into the interior of the rotor, and an outflow for a degassed liquid. A degassing tube is centrally arranged with respect to the interior to remove gas escaping from the liquid. The rotor includes at least one opening structured and arranged to produce an hydraulic connection with the outflow.
