摘要： A door mechanism of a tape recorder includes a door axially-coupled at one side of an eject lever for being opened/closed around a pivot shaft during the pivoting of the eject lever, and a link for guiding the opening/closing operation of the door during the pivot operation of the eject lever, in which the door is positioned higher than a cassette lid so as not to contact the cassette lid during a first loading operation of a tape cassette and is positioned as high as the upper end portion of the eject lever after a second loading operation of the tape cassette is completed, thereby permitting the design of an extremely thin tape recorder.

摘要： A power shifting device for a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus. The power transferring device includes a transmitting gear which is capable of being switched to selectively transmit the power of a capstan motor to the loading system or to the running system. The lower portion of the shaft of the transmitting gear is switched along a groove of the main chassis so as to be guided along the opposite walls of the groove to the exact position, so that the power is selectively transmitted to the loading system or to the running system of the apparatus.

摘要： A reel guide apparatus of a magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus accurately seats the supply reel and take-up reel onto a lower chassis of the apparatus. The reels are installed on a slider which is lowered to the lower chassis. Holes in the slider receive reel guide units for stably guiding the reels in the vertical direction. A position determining unit on the lower chassis accurately determines the seating of the tape cassette on the lower chassis. Sensors on the reel guide units and split disc reflectors on the reels facing the sensors result in the generation of reel pulses, which are used to determine remaining tape length, etc.

Advantageously, a closed cassette lid allows a corresponding reduction in the size of the deck.

摘要： A mode reset method for a magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus whereby a deck is preferably reset to a predetermined mode of operation when power is applied. The method includes an initializing step and a mode reset step. Preferably, the initializing step includes substeps for driving a plunger, rotating a capstan motor to connect a transmission gear to a loading system when the power is applied, and then retracting the plunger. The mode reset step includes substeps for resetting the deck to a stop mode when the deck is in the stop mode, when the deck is between the stop mode and a playback mode, or when the deck is between the stop mode and an unloading stop mode at the time power is applied. Alternatively, the mode reset step resets the deck to the unloading stop mode, when the deck is stopped between the unloading stop mode and eject mode. During the mode reset step, operation is controlling responsive to frequency generator signals during rotation of the capstan motor, and the outputs from stop and a cassette-in sensors. The mode reset method advantageously enables the deck to recognize its own mode of operation and to prevent malfunction thereof when the power is applied. An apparatus adapted to performing the method is also described.

摘要： A housing apparatus of a tape recorder for recording or reproducing signals on a tape transferred along a certain travelling path and including a main deck having a travelling system, a lever member hingedly coupled with one side of the main deck, a plate member vertically moved up and down on the main deck by the lever member, and a cassette holder horizontally moved on the plate member, so that when the lever member is rotated up and down, a side gear mounted on the plate member is brought into meshing engagement with a rack gear positioned on the lever member, and the cassette holder positioned on the plate member is slidably moved by an interlocking device connected to the side gear, thereby loading and ejecting the cassette tape. Therefore, the sequential operations of loading and ejecting the cassette tape are smoothly and harmoniously performed without requiring a separate motor or structural devices.

摘要： A power transmission device for a tape recorder, which is capable of easily transmitting power to a tape loading unit or a reel table system, includes a loading system driving gear for transmitting power to the tape loading unit to thereby position a tape with respect to a drum, and a reel-system driving gear for driving the reel table system, in which the gears are selectively driven to receive power from the capstan motor via transmission and rotating gears operated by a magnetic force and a spring. By driving the tape loading unit and reel tables with the capstan motor, one motor can be removed to further minimize deck size.

摘要： In a magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus, an idler gear is selectively moved between controlling a take up reel and a supply reel. An idler controlling apparatus limits the swing angle of the idler to a relatively small angle when the upper chassis is being seated on the lower chassis or when the tape is being ejected. The idler controlling apparatus also permits a wide swing angle of the idler when the tape recording/reproduction operations take place. The wide swing permits the idler gear to selectively control the take up and supply reels.
