摘要： A mobile communication device and method for identifying a counterfeit bill are provided. In the method, an InfraRed (IR) image of a bill is received, feature values are extracted from the IR image to represent edges, a binary image having displayed pixels and non-displayed pixels is generated based on the feature values, and a corrected image is generated by overlaying the binary image on a pre-stored real bill database and adjusting the binary image to match a predetermined area of the binary image matches to the predetermined area of the real bill database. A number of displayed pixels in the corrected image is counted, and whether the bill is counterfeit is based on the number of displayed pixels in the corrected image.

摘要： A key structure is disclosed in which the use of space for a keypad is maximized, thereby allowing free key inputs. The key structure includes a first keypad layer converted into a transparent state and a semi-transparent state, for displaying characters and numbers printed on the first keypad layer when the first keypad layer is in the semi-transparent state while displaying characters and numbers printed on a second keypad layer when the first keypad layer is in the transparent state. The key structure further includes the second keypad layer displaying characters and numbers printed on the second keypad layer by using light emitted from a light source when the first keypad layer is in the transparent state, and the light source emitting light to the second keypad layer when the first keypad layer is in the transparent state.

摘要： A method and apparatus for acquiring DRM contents in a mobile communication terminal at a reduced expense by acquiring information about the DRM contents provided through a plurality of content providers are provided. The method and apparatus for acquiring DRM contents includes acquiring price information for DRM contents provided from a plurality of content providers upon request for acquiring DRM contents, selecting a content provider using the acquired price information and acquiring the DRM contents and a license from the selected content provider. Therefore, DRM contents can be acquired by selecting the least expensive DRM content provider at a present point in time using a content information server in which the content information is stored and then connecting to the corresponding content provider to ultimately reduce the cost for acquiring the DRM contents.

摘要： An apparatus and a method related to an application of a mobile terminal using an augmented reality technique capture an image of a musical instrument directly drawn/sketched by a user to recognize the particular relevant musical instrument, and provide an effect of playing the musical instrument on the recognized image as if a real instrument were being played. The apparatus preferably includes an image recognizer and a sound source processor. The image recognizer recognizes a musical instrument on an image through a camera. The sound source processor outputs the recognized musical instrument on the image on a display unit to use the same for a play, and matches the musical instrument play on the image to a musical instrument play output on the display unit.
