摘要： An apparatus for detecting an error in the measurement of a water level in a washing machine includes a water level sensor measuring a water level in a washing tub; a water supply and drain device supplying water to the washing tub or discharging water from in the washing tub; and a control unit controlling the water supply and drain device to adjust the water level in the washing tub, and detecting a measurement error of the water level sensor based on a water level change measured by the water level sensor while the water level is adjusted.

摘要： A method for controlling a drum type washing machine including a condensing duct configured to receive air from a tub, the method including supplying a first coolant into a storage unit in the condensing duct holding or maintain the first supply of the coolant in the storage unit; and supplying a second coolant into the storage unit after a preset or predetermined time period elapses is provided. The preset time period is shorter by a predetermined time length than an expected time period for thermal equilibrium between the coolant in the storage unit and the air in the condensing duct.
