摘要： The instant invention is directed to a process for the control of scale formation and deposition in thermal or reverse osmosis membrane desalination plants, comprising adding to the water 0.1 to 100 ppm of (a) a water soluble orthophosphate and (b) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of water soluble polycarboxylates, phosphonates, phosphates, sulfonates and polyamides.
