    摘要: A method of testing an actuation system for positioning an inlet guide vane, the actuation system including a primary electronic system, a secondary hydro-mechanical system is disclosed. The method includes the steps of controlling the position of the inlet guide vane with the primary system from an start engine speed up to a first engine speed; transferring control of the position of the inlet guide vane from the primary system to the secondary system at said first engine speed; controlling the position of the inlet guide vane with the secondary system from the first engine speed up to a second engine speed; obtaining a monitored position of the inlet guide vane with the primary system from said first speed to said second speed; indicating a failed status if the monitored position obtained by the primary system does not correspond to a predicted position; and transferring control from the secondary system to the primary system for the engine speeds of said second speed or greater, in absence of said failed status.

    摘要: A method of testing an actuation system for positioning an actuator, the actuation system including a primary electronic system, a secondary hydro-mechanical system is disclosed. The method includes the steps of measuring the actual position of the actuation device as set by the primary electronic system; measuring the system inputs and computing an ideal actuator position based thereon; determining the difference between the actual actuator position and the ideal position. The difference is then compared to a first threshold value which represents a disturbance beyond which the system cannot safely operate. Control is transferred from the primary control to the secondary control if the difference exceeds the first threshold. If the difference is less than the first threshold, the difference is compared to a second threshold value which represents an operating condition that can be tolerated for a period of time. Control is transferred from the primary control to secondary control if the difference exceeds the second threshold for longer than the time period.

    摘要: A vibration monitoring system employing a capacitive accelerometer determines the energy associated with one or more frequency components within the frequency spectrum of the vibration signal. The capacitive accelerometer operates as a mixer due to its time varying capacitance which provides a measure of the vibration. When the accelerometer is excited by an AC signal the output from the accelerometer comprises beat frequencies due to the mixing of the time varying capacitance and the AC signal. By changing the frequency of the AC signal the location of the beat frequencies in the frequency domain of the accelerometer output can be shifted. Subsequent bandpass filtering to attenuate frequencies except those associated with the frequency component and demodulation to bandshift the energy of the filtered signal energy to DC, creates a DC value which provides a measure of the energy present at the frequency component.
