摘要: A system includes a dynamic compressor and a controller. The dynamic compressor includes a motor having a driveshaft rotatably supported within the dynamic compressor and a compression mechanism connected to the driveshaft and operable to compress a working fluid upon rotation of the driveshaft. The controller is connected to the motor and includes a processor and a memory. The memory stores instructions that program the processor to operate the motor to compress the working fluid at a motor speed greater than a predicted minimum surge speed plus a control margin, determine when surge events have occurred, store, in the memory, an indication of each surge event that the processor determined to have occurred, and determine whether or not to take a protective action when the processor determines that a surge event has occurred.

摘要: A monitoring apparatus includes: input reception circuitry configured to receive a signal indicative of a characteristic of rotating assembly rotation; and bearing wear monitoring circuitry configured to analyze the signal characteristic of rotating assembly rotation. The bearing wear monitoring circuitry is also configured to identify one or more signal features indicative of bearing wear. Bearing wear produces variation in rolling friction of the bearing and therefore is one cause of variation in shaft torque. Aspects recognise that variations in shaft torque can be indirectly monitored, measured and/or determined by appropriate measurement or monitoring of operational characteristics of a pump motor and that it may be possible to distinguish variations in shaft torque which can be attributed to bearing wear from those variations in shaft torque caused by one or more other factors.

摘要: A method for preventing damage to a multiphase pump includes measuring a differential pressure of a fluid across the pump and an axial position of a rotor of the pump over a time period, calculating a pressure fluctuation by measuring a difference between a maximum and a minimum value of the measured differential pressure over the time period, calculating a dynamic axial position by measuring a difference between a maximum and a minimum value of the measured axial position of the rotor over the time period, comparing the calculated pressure fluctuation with an expected pressure fluctuation value, comparing the calculated dynamic axial position with an expected dynamic axial position value, and selecting an operating condition of the pump based on the comparison of the calculated pressure fluctuation with the expected pressure fluctuation value and of the calculated dynamic axial position with the expected dynamic axial position value.
