摘要： A fusing apparatus in an image forming apparatus that heats a fusing unit by applying an induced current is provided. The flicker characteristics of the fusing apparatus are improved by gradually increasing the amount of induced current applied to the fusing unit for a predetermined amount of time so that the amount of induced current applied to the fusing unit is prevented from severely varying. The fusing apparatus comprises a fusing unit which is resistance-heated or induction-heated by applying an induced current and fuses toner onto paper using the heat. The fusing apparatus further comprises a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal generation unit which generates a PWM signal in response to the ON signal so that the amount of induced current input to the fusing unit gradually increases to a reference current.

摘要： The present invention provides a method for fabricating spindle and roller empying rotation axes made of a composite material, which comprises a step of inserting a front metal part and an end metal part into a front and an end of a rotation axis made of a composite material. In accordance with the present invention, spindle and roller with easy control of balancing and less inertia on rotation, can be fabricated, by employing rotation axes made of a composite material which has a high stiffness, superior torque transfer capability and natural frequency.

摘要： A power control apparatus and a technique for a fusing roller in an electrophotographic image forming apparatus includes measuring a temperature of a fusing roller, comparing the measured temperature of the fusing roller with a predetermined first control temperature, changing a duty ratio of the power supplied to the fusing roller when the temperature of the fusing roller reaches the predetermined first control temperature, and supplying power to the fusing roller at the changed duty ratio until the temperature of the fusing roller reaches a predetermined target fusing temperature. In the power control technique, as the temperature of the fusing roller increases toward a target fusing temperature, the duty ratio of the power supplied to the fusing roller is lowered. Therefore, a temperature overshoot and temperature ripple during printing operation can be reduced at a lowered temperature-increasing rate. In addition, a problem of short life span of the fusing roller caused by damage of a heater of the fusing roller can be prevented.

The heating roller assembly include a cylindrical roller body and a power connecting members each coupled to both ends of the roller body to apply electric power to a heating layer which is disposed between the roller body and a protective layer. The power connecting member has one or more stepped surface or an inclined surface corresponding to the stepped structure of heating layer and the protective layer.
