摘要: A steering shaft assembly includes a male shaft having a plurality of splines formed thereon, each of the splines terminating at a spline end, wherein each of the spline ends form an angle of about 90 degrees relative to a longitudinal direction of the splines. The steering shaft assembly also includes a female shaft including a plurality of stakes located proximate an end of the female shaft, the stakes retaining the male shaft at an interface between the stakes and the spline ends.

摘要: A driveshaft has an elongated monolithic composite tube with a front joint at one end thereof and a rear joint at an opposite end thereof. The tube has an inner layer formed of glass fibers coaxially wound on top of one other. The tube has outer layer wound directly on the inner layer. The outer layer is formed substantially of carbon fibers. A ratio of a thickness of the outer layer to the thickness of the inner layer is between 0.8 and 1.2.

摘要: A water-impermeable cover includes an opening part extending toward an opening part of a holding ring of a stub shaft of a propeller shaft, and is disposed to face the opening part of the holding ring. The water-impermeable cover is fixed at a position to face the opening part of the holding ring of the stub shaft, and the opening part of the water-impermeable cover extends to approach the opening part of the holding ring: therefore, even if muddy water etc. scatters obliquely toward the opening part of the holding ring, the risk of muddy water etc. entering the opening part of the holding ring is reduced, and as a result, also the risk of muddy water etc. entering an interior of a center bearing is reduced.

摘要: The present invention has an electric motor, a transmission shaft, a transmission casing, and a pulley. The transmission shaft has splines, bearings, bearing stops, a pulley keyway, and a threaded end. The prototype transmission casing has a shaft receiver. The electric motor rotates the transmission shaft with torque force. The transmission shaft rotation causes the pulley to rotate. Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications, variations and sizes can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.

摘要: The torque transmission shaft has a shaft having a hollow tubular shape and a clamp. The shaft has a connecting portion integral with the shaft at one axial end portion, a slit extending in the axial direction in a portion on the other axial end side and opens on the other side in the axial direction, and a female serration on the inner circumferential surface of the other axial end portion. The clamp is separate from the shaft and has a non-continuous portion at one location in the circumferential direction, a pair of flange portions on both sides of the non-continuous portion, and a connecting portion connecting the pair of flange portions in the circumferential direction. The clamp is externally fitted and fixed to the other axial end portion of the shaft and reduces the diameter of the other axial end side portion of the shaft.

摘要: A molten metal rotor receives and retains an end of a molten metal rotor shaft. The rotor shaft has one or more projections at the end received in the rotor. The rotor has an inner cavity, a top surface with an opening leading to the inner cavity, and at least one abutment. The opening includes one or more portions for allowing each projection to pass through the opening and into the inner cavity. The rotor and/or shaft are then rotated so at least one of the outwardly-extending projections is under the top surface of the rotor and is against an abutment. A molten metal pump, rotary degasser scrap melter or other device used in molten metal may utilize a rotor/shaft combination as disclosed herein.

摘要: A fibre-reinforced polymer composite shaft for transmitting loads along a central axis is provided. The composite shaft comprises a first interface surface extending along the central axis and comprising at least one helical groove and/or a plurality of circumferential grooves for engaging with at least one corresponding helical ridge and/or a plurality of corresponding circumferential ridges of a second interface surface of an end fitting. The at least one helical groove and/or the plurality of circumferential grooves comprises at least one flank with a flank angle of between 32° and 51°. In such an assembly, a preload structure is arranged to provide a radial biasing force to bias the first interference surface against the second interference surface.

摘要: A tubular body of a power transmission shaft made of fiber-reinforced plastic is provided with a cylindrical main body portion, and a second connection portion continuous with an end portion of the main body portion and to which a stab shaft is joined. The main body portion is formed with a weak portion which fails when a load input in the direction of an axial line exceeds a predetermined value. A linear rupture portion is formed on an outer peripheral surface of the weak portion. In the present configuration, cost reduction and weight reduction of the tubular body are made possible, and the tubular body fails infallibly when a predetermined load is input to the tubular body in the direction of the axial line.
