Abstract: A hand held appliance including a wall, a fluid flow path extending within the wall from a fluid inlet into the appliance to a fluid outlet from the appliance, a fan unit extending longitudinally within the wall for drawing fluid into the fluid inlet wherein the fan unit is non-concentric with respect to the wall. The fan unit may be positioned coaxially within the fluid flow path. The wall has a thickness and the thickness of the wall may varies. The wall may be generally tubular and the thickness of the wall varies around a circumference of the wall. The wall may be generally tubular and has an inner surface and an outer surface. A central axis of the inner surface may be different to a central axis of the outer surface.

Abstract: A mount for an electric motor, the mount comprising a sleeve for receiving a motor, the sleeve having a longitudinal axis extending between a first end and a second end, wherein the first end comprises a plurality of plurality of projections and the plurality of projections extend along the longitudinal axis. The sleeve may receive the motor via the first end or the second end. The plurality of projections may be spaced around a circumference of the sleeve. The plurality of projections may comprise a pattern of substantially constant frequency around the sleeve. The plurality of projections may be substantially V-shaped with the point extending along the longitudinal axis from the first end of the sleeve.

Abstract: A mount for an electric motor, the mount including a sleeve for receiving the motor, the sleeve including an annular seal extending around the sleeve and a recess extending around the circumference of the sleeve. The sleeve has a first end and a second end. The recess may be disposed adjacent the first end of the sleeve. The annular seal may be disposed at the first end and the recess next to the annular seal. The first end may be a downstream end of the mount. The recess may be an indentation extending circumferentially around sleeve. The recess may be provided on a radially outer surface of the sleeve. The recess may comprise first and second radial surfaces which are spaced apart when in an uncompressed state. The first and second surfaces are pressed together when in a compressed state.
