Abstract: A cap assembly for conveying air into the interior of a container and water from the interior of the container, the cap assembly comprising a valve moveable from a first position, in which the cap assembly is closed, to a second position, in which the cap assembly is open to permit the flow of air and water through the cap assembly, the cap assembly further comprising at least two apertures through which the air and water can flow when the cap assembly is open, wherein the apertures are offset with respect to one another in a direction along the longitudinal axis of the cap assembly.

Abstract: A nozzle for a fan assembly has an air inlet, an annular air outlet, and an interior passage for conveying air from the air inlet to the air outlet. The interior passage is located between an annular inner wall, and an outer wall extending about the inner wall. The inner wall at least partially defines a bore through which air from outside the nozzle is drawn by air emitted from the air outlet. The inner wall is eccentric with respect to the outer wall so that the cross-sectional area of the interior passage varies about the bore. The variation in the cross-sectional area of the interior passage can control the direction in which air is emitted from around the air outlet to reduce turbulence in the air flow generated by the fan assembly.

Abstract: A humidifying apparatus comprising a base comprising a chamber, a water tank removably mounted on the base for supplying water to the chamber, an impeller and a motor for driving the impeller to generate an air flow, an inlet duct for conveying the air flow to the chamber, humidifying means for humidifying the air flow with water from the chamber; and an outlet duct for conveying the humidified air flow from the chamber, wherein a lower internal surface of the water tank comprises a raised portion and a feeder trough, which is lower than the raised portion when the water tank is mounted on the base.
