Abstract: Provided is an air treatment apparatus comprising an air flow generator arranged to generate an air flow, a moisture source arranged to introduce water vapour into the air flow, and a water supply system. The water supply system comprises a water tank, a water supply pipe arranged to convey water from the water tank, and an ultraviolet light source arranged to irradiate the water passing through the water supply pipe with ultraviolet light. The water supply pipe comprises a lateral water inlet provided adjacent to a first end of the water supply pipe and a lateral water outlet provided adjacent to a second end of the water supply pipe, and one or both of the lateral water inlet and the lateral water outlet extend tangentially from the water supply pipe.
