Abstract: Described is a fan assembly comprising a body comprising an air inlet, an air outlet, and means for generating an air flow through the body. The body has a lower body section and an upper body section capable of rotation relative to the lower body section. The fan assembly also comprises a nozzle for emitting the air flow, and a filter upstream from the air inlet, wherein the upper body section has a seat for supporting the filter such that the filter rotates relative to the lower body section when the upper body section is caused to rotate.

Abstract: A fan assembly includes a fan body, a motor-driven impeller contained within the fan body and arranged to generate an air flow, a nozzle including a nozzle body having an air inlet arranged to receive the air flow from the fan body, and one or more air outlets arranged to emit the airflow from the fan assembly. The fan assembly further includes a nozzle retaining mechanism for releasably retaining the nozzle on the fan body, and a rotation mechanism for rotating the nozzle body relative to the fan body. The nozzle rotation mechanism includes a rotation motor arranged to drive a drive member and a driven member that is arranged to be driven by the drive member to rotate around a rotation axis.

Abstract: A fan assembly for generating an air flow within a room includes an annular casing which defines an interior passage. The interior passage includes an air inlet, and houses, downstream from the air inlet, an impeller and a motor for driving the impeller to draw an air flow through the air inlet and into the fan assembly. The interior passage also has an air outlet from which at least a portion of the air flow is emitted from the fan assembly. The annular casing defines a bore about which the interior passage extends and through which a secondary air flow from outside the fan assembly is drawn by the air emitted from the air outlet.
