    Abstract: A hand held appliance, such as a hairdryer, includes a body, a duct, a fluid flow path extending through the duct from a first fluid inlet of the appliance to a first fluid outlet of the appliance. A primary fluid flow path extends from a second fluid inlet through which a primary fluid flow enters the appliance to a second fluid outlet. A fan unit is located in the primary fluid flow path for drawing fluid through the second fluid inlet. A filter is located in the primary fluid flow path. Fluid is drawn through the fluid flow path by fluid emitted from the second fluid outlet. A heater is provided in the body and extends at least partially along and around the duct.

    Abstract: A hair care appliance including a body, and a handle having a first end in fluid communication with the body and a second end comprising a primary fluid inlet into the appliance wherein the primary fluid inlet includes a first aperture extending at least partially around the handle and a second aperture extending through the second end of the handle.     Abstract: A domestic blender includes a receptacle, a tool located within the receptacle, and a base upon which the receptacle is detachably mounted. The receptacle has a bottom wall, a side wall defining an opening through which foodstuff material is introduced to the receptacle, and a longitudinal axis about which the side wall is disposed. The tool has a shaft which passes through an aperture located in the bottom wall of the receptacle, and a processing member for engaging foodstuff material. The base has a motor for rotating the tool about a rotational axis.
