摘要: This invention relates to a method of and apparatus for removing contaminants from polluted gases with a low flow resistant, porous, infinite capacity filter in which ultrasonically generated, oscillating fog of substantially increased contact area and contact duration, contacts, absorbs and agglomerates contaminants carried by such gases, and from which the absorbed agglomerated contaminants are removed. Preferably the fog droplets are charged electrically and activated chemically, as well as generated in a range of sizes best suited for removing contaminants from the polluted gases.
