A structure of an interface identifier (BD) of an Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) address, a method of defining the BD and a communication device for performing the method are provided. The structure of the BD may include a “u” bit indicating a uniqueness of the IPv6 address, and FFFE16 bits located in a central portion of the BD.

An apparatus and method are disclosed for monitoring energy management efficiency of a data center. The apparatus includes an input unit, an energy management efficiency non-achievement rate calculation unit, and an average calculation unit. The input unit receives upper and lower limit target values for each of energy management efficiency measurement indicators. The energy management efficiency non-achievement rate calculation unit calculates the rate of non-achievement of energy management efficiency for each of the energy management efficiency measurement indicators based on an energy management efficiency measurement indicator value currently measured for each of the energy management efficiency measurement indicators and the upper and lower limit target values. The average calculation unit receives the rates of non-achievement of energy management efficiency for the energy management efficiency measurement indicators, and calculates the average of the rates of non-achievement of energy management efficiency.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting an Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) packet based on an optical wireless technology, and a device for performing the same are provided. A method of transmitting an IPv6 packet based on an optical wireless communication (OWC) technology in an OWC device includes receiving an IPV6 packet through an OWC link layer, and transmitting the IPV6 packet through an adaptation layer for IPV6 over OWC. An interface identifier (IID) included in an IPV6 link local address of the OWC device may be constructed using an algorithm that generates a random identifier (RID).

A service profile discovery and connection management method for interworking with an IoT device. According to example embodiments, a remote device discovery method for service interworking includes an operation of receiving, from a local device, a discovery profile request message for discovering a device profile of a target local device for service interworking, an operation of searching for a service profile based on a first device profile of the local device included in the discovery profile request message, an operation of searching for, as the device profile of the target local device, a second device profile including one or more functions excluding a function of the local device by matching the searched service profile with device profiles stored in a database, and an operation of transmitting a discovery profile response message including an ID of the second device profile.
