Abstract: The disclosure provides certain porous polymeric membranes, coated with cross-linked polymerized monomers, comprising monomers having a charge when immersed in an organic liquid. The membranes of the disclosure are useful in removing trace amounts of metallic impurities thereby providing ultra-pure organic liquids.
