摘要: A method for determining a cylinder of an ophthalmic lens to be mounted on a spectacle frame is provided, the method including: providing a measuring device configured to run a Jackson Cross Cylinder procedure; determining components of a first vector of the cylinder in a two-dimensional vector cylinder representation; and determining components of a second vector of the cylinder in the two-dimensional vector cylinder representation, the components of the second vector of the cylinder being determined such that a Euclidian distance between the first vector and the second vector is independent of a value of the cylinder.

摘要: Disclosed is a method for optical design of a pair of ophthalmic lenses for correcting spherical and cylindrical refractive errors of the eyes of a wearer, including a step of defining the need for spherical and cylindrical correction of the wearer for various viewing distances, and a step of determining the spherical and cylindrical power of the ophthalmic lenses at viewing points with various proximities, in accordance with the correction needs of the wearer. The power of at least one of the two ophthalmic lenses is determined such as to limit the deviation obtained therebetween upon adding equivalent spherical power between the viewing points with various proximities and/or varying the cylindrical power vector between the viewing points with various proximities. Also disclosed is a pair of ophthalmic lenses designed according to such a method.

摘要: Disclosed is a measurement method for determining a value of a visual correction need for near vision of an individual in a natural posture for near vision. A recognizing limit distance is determined so that the individual is able to recognize at least one predetermined symbol farther than the limit distance relatively to the individual and unable to recognize the at least one predetermined symbol closer to the individual than the limit distance. A portable medium displaying the predetermined symbol is displaced in front of the face and eyes of the individual to change a frontal distance between his/her eyes and the portable medium and in which when a recognizing limit distance is detected by the individual, the limit distance is measured and the value of the visual correction need is determined from the measured limit distance, wherein the visual correction need includes an accommodation compensation need.
