Abstract:
A system (D) is dedicated to managing the changing of channels between a network controller (BSCn) and at least one network equipment (MS-i) in a communications network. The system includes management means (M) that are adapted, when a connection for sending and/or receiving data has been set up on a first channel (C1) between the network controller (BSCn) and the network equipment (MS-i), to instruct the network controller (BSCn), firstly, to send the network equipment (MS-i) a message on the first channel (C1) instructing it to continue the connection on a second channel (C2) and to maintain the first channel (C1) until it receives data and/or acknowledgments of data from the equipment (MS-i) on the second channel (C2), and, secondly, to release the resources associated with the first channel (C1) on receiving data and/or acknowledgments of data on the second channel (C2).
Abstract:
The invention relates notably to a method for synchronizing terrestrial nodes comprising means for receiving information from a satellite belonging to a global navigation satellite system, said terrestrial nodes belonging to a terrestrial network, said method comprising the steps of: selecting terrestrial nodes which have to be synchronized with the same time reference, said terrestrial nodes forming an herein called synchronization zone; determining the clear sky view solid angle shared by said terrestrial nodes; acquiring by all terrestrial nodes a first time reference, herein called rough time reference, sent by a satellite viewed by said terrestrial nodes in said clear sky view solid angle; determining in said terrestrial network a common synchronization date for all terrestrial nodes; at said common synchronization date, acquiring by all terrestrial nodes a predefined sequence sent by a satellite viewed by said terrestrial nodes in said clear sky view solid angle; adjusting the time reference of each of said terrestrial nodes.
