    摘要: A trigger speed control switch for use on portable tools having double-pole contacts with wiping action, larger contact opening gaps, screw-clamp terminals for connection of the power line conductors, a printed circuit board for mounting the speed control circuit, an adjustable trigger lock mechanism with detenting to hold it in adjusted position, and terminals for connecting a load device such as a motor as well as an external filter capacitor. A small version having all of these features is small enough for direct substitution for an on-off trigger switch as well as for universal portable tool application. A larger version having all of these features is adapted for substitution for present wired-components types of trigger speed control switches. In either case, modification of a given tool is not required to receive the double-pole trigger speed control switch.

    摘要: A waveguide structure including two parallels electrically conducting ground planes (1,2), each of which includes at least one row of spaced apart electrically conducting posts (3). The rows of posts are arranged substantially parallel to one another and the space bounded by the plates and posts defines a guided wave region (4) along which electromagnetic radiation may propagate. The posts are connected to only one of the planes so that there is no physical connection between the two ground planes (1,2). Actuating means may be connected to one or both of the ground planes to cause relative movement there between to thereby alter the electrical response of the waveguide. The direction of the relative movement may such that the distance between the rows of posts (3) is changed and/or the distance between the ground planes (1,2) is changed. Various device may utilize the described waveguide construction, including reconfigurable waveguide filters and antenna structures e.g. slotted waveguide arrays.

    摘要: An energy delivery device for treating a patient includes a probe body and a plurality of elongate electrode elements that extend radially away from the probe body when deployed into tissue of the patient. The electrode elements are adapted to receive electrical treatment energy such as irreversible electroporation (IRE) pulses from an energy source. In one embodiment, each electrode element has a longitudinally varying electrical resistance at the electrode-tissue interface along the electrode so as to provide a uniform electric field along the length of the electrode. The uniform electric field allows a more uniform ablation of tissue within a treatment zone.

    摘要: Ablation devices and associated methods are provided for use in ablating the margin of a cavity such as a surgical or body cavity. The ablation apparatus includes an integral or connected elongate probe and an elongate sleeve. Suction can be applied with a vacuum source operably connected to the proximal end region of the sleeve, whereby tissue of the surgical cavity is drawn against the surface of the sleeve. The probe includes one or more electrodes disposed at the probe's distal end region, for ablating tissue when the electrode(s) are activated to create an ablated margin of tissue at least partially surrounding the surgical cavity.
