    Abstract: A valvetrain assembly comprising a first body and a second body, wherein the second body comprises a first wall and a second wall. The valvetrain assembly further comprises a first latch pin, wherein the first latch pin is configured to latch the second body to the first body and unlatch the second body from the first body. A portion of the first latch pin is located between the first wall and the second wall. The valvetrain assembly also comprises a movable shaft, wherein the movable shaft is configured to move the first latch pin. The valvetrain assembly comprises an electromagnet, wherein the electromagnet is configured to move the movable shaft.

    Abstract: A retainer clip can be used to travel of a hydraulic lash adjuster body relative to a plunger of a hydraulic lash adjuster. A seating depth of the hydraulic lash adjuster can be controlled via a plunger cup in a hydraulic lash adjuster bore. The plunger cup can also restrict purge of lash oil from the hydraulic lash adjuster bore. A rocker arm can comprise a rocker arm body comprising a force-receiving end, a valve end, and a rocker shaft bore. An extension can connect the rocker shaft bore to the valve end. A hydraulic lash adjuster bore can be in the valve end. A plunger cup or an end socket profile can be included in the hydraulic lash adjuster bore for receiving a plunger of a hydraulic lash adjuster.

    Abstract: An added-motion engine braking system selectively operable in an engine braking mode and a drive mode and compatible with providing hydraulic lash adjustment includes an exhaust rocker arm assembly, a main exhaust valve and a brake valve, a valve bridge configured to selectively act on the main exhaust valve and the brake valve and constrained to move parallel to a valve opening direction, a hydraulic lash adjuster disposed on the exhaust rocker arm assembly and configured to automatically compensate for lash between the exhaust rocker arm assembly and the valve bridge; and an engine braking rocker arm assembly configured to selectively act on the brake valve in the engine brake mode, wherein, in a base circle position with the main exhaust valve and the brake valve closed, the valve bridge is configured to preferentially contact the main exhaust valve compared to the brake valve.
