摘要： The present invention enables to limit playback of content recorded on a recording medium without fail. A playback system includes a recording medium 11 containing a plurality of pieces of actual data to play back a corresponding plurality of pieces of content, an information source 12 other than the recording medium 11, the information source containing at least one piece of playback control information among a plurality of pieces of playback control information required to play back the corresponding plurality of pieces of content, and a playback device that includes an acquiring unit 61 that acquires the playback control information from the information source 12, and a playback unit 61 and 62 that play back the content from the recording medium based on the playback control information acquired.

Provided herein are a recording medium on which a plurality of contents and reproduction-enabled time which is a period of time for allowing a user to freely reproduce the plurality of contents as a whole are recorded, a reproduction device having an acquisition unit which acquires the reproduction-enabled time and a reproduction inhibit unit which inhibits the reproduction of each of the contents when the accumulated reproduction time of the plurality of contents as a whole exceeds the acquired reproduction-enabled time during the reproduction of each of the contents.

The network connector acquires the advertisement from an external apparatus based on CM insertion information. The controller controls to insert the acquired Advertisement in the main content.

摘要： To limit the number of contents which can be reproduced among a plurality of contents recorded on a recording medium. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A reproduction device (3) includes: a recording medium (2) containing a plurality of contents and the reproduction-enabled number indicating the number of contents which can be arbitrarily reproduced by a user among the plurality of contents; acquisition means (11) for acquitting the reproduction-enabled number; and reproduction inhibit means (14) for inhibiting reproduction of each content when the total number of contents which have been reproduced among the plurality of contents exceeds the acquired reproduction-enabled number upon reproduction of each content.

Each recording layer has a predetermined area in which power calibration is performed to detect an optimum recording power of laser light for recording, which is transmitted through the first recording layer and other layers of the second recording layers, the first recording layer, the other layers of the second recording layers, and each of the second recording layers arranged in this order as viewed from an irradiation side of the laser light, and in a facing area, which faces the predetermined area, in the other layers of the second recording layers and the first recording layer, by forming embossed pits.
