Abstract: An apparatus for analyzing a game characteristic is disclosed, the apparatus including a log data generation unit to preprocess a log of game play details of game users, and generate log data, a characteristics analysis unit to extract a game resource attribute of the log data, and analyze game resource characteristics of the game users, and an cheating user detection unit to detect an cheating user among the game users using the game resource characteristics and a parameter based on the log data.
