摘要: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for providing an interactive application, such as a video game, with a hierarchy of tiers and a hierarchy of game items. Higher tiers may correspond to better game items, and lower tiers may correspond to worse game items. Game rewards awarded to a user for using a particular item may be inversely related to the corresponding tier level of the particular item. Game rewards may comprise experience points, credits, levels, or the like. New users of the interactive application may be provided access to a tier above the lowest tier of the hierarchy and thereby able to access better game items than those corresponding to the lowest tier. A prestige tier may be established requiring a quantity of game rewards for access, and users may thereby be able to access the prestige tier faster by using lower, and potentially more difficult, tiers.

摘要: The present specification describes systems and methods for filtering a video game user's match performance data or loadout data through validation mechanisms. For the performance data, the validated, signed performance data are written to a leaderboard service of the video gaming system. For the loadout data, the validated, signed performance loadout data are transmitted back to the client device and used when playing a game. Free computing and/or networking resources of the client game device are used as an intermediate between the client devices, validation services, and/or leaderboard services.

摘要: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a computer-implemented method for monitoring game activity of a game system. A non-limiting example of the method includes monitoring, by a processing device, game activity of the game system. The processing device determines characteristics of the game activity, along with expected characteristics of the game activity. The processing device analyzes the characteristics of the game activity and the expected characteristics of the game activity. Based at least in part on analyzing the characteristics of the game activity and the expected characteristics of the game activity, an entity that is controlling the game system is determined.

摘要: The field of the invention relates to systems and methods for managing user behavior in online multiuser systems, and more particularly to systems and methods that provide user-based arbitration for online multiuser systems. In one embodiment, a multi-user online system enables a first user to report a second user's behavior while online. The system receives the report and merges the report with the second user's recorded interactions with the online system related to the report to create an arbitration file. The arbitration file is then made available to a third user to review the arbitration file and determine whether action is warranted.

摘要: Techniques are disclosed for monitoring and evaluating video game activity by scanning for communications between a gaming console and peripherals that wirelessly communicate with the gaming console. An activity tracker receives wireless communications sent between the gaming console and a peripheral. The activity tracker generates one or more usage metrics describing the wireless communications. The activity tracker evaluates the network data based on or more specified rules. Upon determining that the usage metrics trigger a specified rule, the activity tracker generates a notification to describing those usage metrics.

摘要: A system for detecting inappropriate content in a virtual world environment has, and a corresponding method utilizes, a rating unit for rating each of one or more virtual objects based upon its content. The system has, and the method utilizes, a tagging unit for tagging each of the one or more virtual objects with its respective rating, an object tagging database for storing ratings of the one or more virtual objects, and a policy database for storing policies associated with the ratings and the regions. Further, the system has, and the method utilizes, an object monitor for monitoring the movement of each of the one or more virtual objects, a security scanner for scanning each of the one or more virtual objects to determine the rating of each of the one or more virtual objects, and an enforcement module to enforce the policies of the policy database based upon the rating and the respective region.

摘要: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method and system for detecting unusual performance in a game. The game has a participant. The method calculates for the participant, a performance metric. The method compares the performance metric to a threshold value. Based on the comparison, the method optionally connects to a server. In some embodiments, the connection is for uploading a set of data from the participant to the server. The server, of some embodiments, broadcasts to the participant. The broadcast is a one-way transmission. In some embodiments, the broadcast includes a distribution based on a set of sample participants. In these embodiments, the set of sample participants comprises a representative sample of all the participants in the game. The threshold value, of some embodiments, is based on the broadcast and in some embodiments, the broadcast includes a histogram. The connecting occurs, in some embodiments, when the performance metric exceeds the threshold value. The connection, for some embodiments, includes a two-way connection. In some embodiments, the method also tracks for the participant, a participant improvement factor. The participant improvement factor is based on an average performance level for the participant. The method stores the participant improvement factor. The threshold value, in some of these embodiments, is based on the participant improvement factor. The method of some embodiments tracks for the game, a game improvement factor. The game improvement factor is based on an average performance level for several participants in the game. The method stores the game improvement factor. The threshold value, in some of these embodiments, is based on the game improvement factor. In some embodiments, the method examines the uploaded data for particular characteristics. In some embodiments, the particular characteristics indicate the likelihood of cheating activity.

摘要: A cybersecurity system for managing cyber behavior associated with cyber actors such that the cyber behavior can be computed and predicted and cyber interactions between the cyber actors can be created. The system includes a cyber behavioral space management module configured to receive input data, and data from the interaction engine and the analytic workflow engine, and to generate a plurality of cyber behavioral spaces based on the received data. The system includes an interaction engine configured to process cyber actor data to facilitate interactions with the cyber behavioral space, a cyber scene, a cyber map, and another cyber actor. The system includes an analytic workflow engine configured to analyze the cyber behavioral spaces and update cyber data based on the analyzed data and the interaction engine data. The system includes a visualization engine configured to compute visualizations and transmit the visualizations for display.

摘要: Techniques are described for displaying avatars within a virtual environment in a way that avoids an appearance of offensive content. Embodiments of the invention receive a request specifying a first location within the virtual environment to move a first user-controlled virtual object to. A zone encompassing the specified location is then identified and a second location within the identified zone is determined. Embodiments then output the virtual environment for display in a manner that shows the first user-controlled virtual object positioned at the determined second location within the virtual environment.
