    摘要： Provided is a method for manufacturing a papermaking belt structure using tapes made of a solid thermoplastic resin surrounding a fibrous matrix. The method calls for applying a layer of CD oriented tapes to a mandrel surface, then applying a layer of MD oriented tapes over the CD layer, applying pressure and heat to the mandrel containing the CD and MD layers so to melt the resin and entirely bond/encapsulate the fibrous matrix. The belt structure thus obtained may thereafter be grooved, drilled or other processed as desired. Additionally, the above method can be reversed as to the MD/CD order of layering. Also, a layer entirely of resin can be applied, preferably prior to, but also after or in between the MD/CD layers. Also, rubber can comprise one or more layers.

    摘要： The present invention is a grooved belt, or surface roll where applicable, and a method for making these belts or rolls, comprising placing a chemically reactive material on a partially completed belt surface, and depositing an elastomeric material onto the chemically reactive material which reacts and forms a bond therewith to create a pattern. Placement of the elastomeric material is used to create the grooves, for example. The grooves are formed without machining and the resulting belt surface is smooth and uniform without cuts or cracks.

    摘要： An extended nip press machine, similar to those used in the paper industry, for use in the leather industry to remove water from hides after the tanning process. The leather press consists of a shoe whose surface substantially matches the radius of an opposing pressure roll. Moving across the shoe is an endless belt, which is lubricated by a thin film of oil. Between the belt and corresponding pressure roll pass two endless felt belts, which are the means of conveying the leather hides. The nip formed by the shoe press is dramatically longer than a conventional press nip, thereby increasing the dewatering efficiency of the leather press.
