The rotational and finishing axes are separate from one another.
Abstract:
An optical device including a lens and a control member configured such that motion of the control member produces a change in the optical power provided along an optical axis of the lens. The optical device further includes a framework, a motor and a driving member. The motor includes an output shaft rotatively coupled to said driving member. The motor and the control member are mounted in the framework such that the driving member and the control member mechanically cooperate. The driving member is rotatably mounted in the framework. The optical device comprises biasing means for maintaining the driving member in a predetermined axial position along the output shaft axis and relative to the framework. This optical device can be used in an optometric equipment.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a lens of variable optical power, characterized in that it includes: a transparent flexible lamella; a body having a ridge inscribed in a cylindrical surface; an element able to move a first portion of the lamella, which is distinct from a second portion of the lamella making contact with the ridge, so as to deform the lamella by flection; and a liquid contained between the lamella and the body. An optical assembly including such a lens and a vision-correcting device including such an optical assembly are also proposed.
Abstract:
An optometry device for testing an individual's eye includes: a casing; an imaging module located in the casing and adapted to produce a light beam directed to the individual's eye; and a refraction module adapted to provide a variable optical correction to the individual's eye looking there through into the casing. The optometry device includes an illumination system adapted to produce a variable ambient light level inside the casing.
Abstract:
The invention relates to vision compensating spectacles comprising means of support (130, 140, 152) on a wearer's face and at least one optical subassembly (110, 120) mounted on the support means (130, 140, 152) opposite at least one of the wearer's eyes. The optical subassembly (110, 120) comprises three optical elements mounted on the support means in series along an optical axis: a first optical element of cylindrical power for a direction of gaze of the wearer along the optical axis, a second optical element of cylindrical power for the said direction of gaze and a third optical element of variable spherical power for the said direction of gaze. The first optical element and the second optical element are adjustable in rotation about the optical axis independently of one another.
Abstract:
A refractor (100) includes: an enclosure having a front face containing a first optical window and a back face containing a second optical window aligned with the first optical window along an optical axis of observation; and at least one vision compensating device making it possible to observe along the optical axis of observation. The vision compensating device includes, between the first window and the second window, a first optical element having a spherical power along the optical axis, the spherical power being variable. The enclosure is mounted on an orientable holder (104) that is rotatable relative to a stationary portion (102) about a horizontal axis (H). A method for measuring refraction employing such a refractor is also disclosed.
