Abstract: A reactor system can include a reactor, including: a first inlet for a first stream including a liquid sulfur including a dissolved hydrogen sulfide, a polysulfide, or a combination thereof. A second inlet can be for a second stream, wherein the second stream can be an oxygen-containing gas with no more than about 2%, by weight nitrogen. A packing can be in contact with a catalyst.
