Abstract: Provided are a method for producing a hepatocyte culture and a method for improving or maintaining a function of a hepatocyte or a hepatic progenitor cell, each method including a culturing step of culturing a hepatocyte or a hepatic progenitor cell inside at least a part of a plurality of opening pores and communication pores of a porous film having the plurality of opening pores provided on a surface thereof and the communication pores for communicating the opening pores adjacent to each other; and a cell-containing porous film.
