Abstract: An optical element includes an optical base material and a light blocking portion. The optical base material transmits light therethrough. The light blocking portion is formed on part of a surface of the optical base material. The light blocking portion includes a light blocking layer and an antireflection layer that is formed on a non-adhesion surface with the optical base material in the light blocking layer. A refractive index of the antireflection layer is lower than a refractive index of the light blocking layer.
