Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a laminated optical film including a reflective circular polarizer with high image sharpness of a reflected image, and an image display device formed of the laminated optical film. The object is achieved by providing the laminated optical film including at least a reflective circular polarizer, a retardation layer that converts circularly polarized light into linearly polarized light, and a linear polarizer in this order, in which a surface of the reflective circular polarizer on a side opposite to the linear polarizer has a surface roughness Ra of 100 nm or less.

Abstract: Provided are an optical laminate in which, for example, in a case of being applied to a pancake lens-type virtual reality display apparatus, light leakage can be reduced by canceling out expression of phase difference, change in phase difference, and the like caused by molding into a curved surface; an optical lens including the optical laminate; and a virtual reality display apparatus using the optical lens.
The optical laminate includes a first optically anisotropic layer containing a negative birefringent resin, and a specific layer selected from the group consisting of a third optically anisotropic layer which is formed by immobilizing a uniformly aligned liquid crystal compound and a cholesteric liquid crystal layer which is formed by immobilizing a helically aligned liquid crystal compound, in which the first optically anisotropic layer and the specific layer have a curved surface portion.-

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a forming method capable of obtaining an optical film in which occurrence of ghost can be suppressed in a case of being used in, for example, a virtual reality display apparatus; an optical film; a cholesteric liquid crystal layer; an optical laminate; and a production method of a curved-shaped optically functional layer. The object is achieved by a forming method including a heating step of heating an optical film, a forming step of pressing the optical film against a mold to deform the optical film, and a cutting step of cutting the optical film, in which the heating step is a step of heating the optical film by irradiating the optical film with infrared rays, and an irradiation amount of the infrared rays has a distribution in a plane of the optical film.

The optical laminate according to the embodiment of the present invention includes, in the following order, a first layer, a second layer, a third layer, and a fourth layer, in which all of the first layer to the fourth layer are cholesteric liquid crystal layers, all of the first layer to the fourth layer have light reflectivity, a central wavelength of reflected light of the first layer is within a range of 430 to 570 nm, a central wavelength of reflected light of the second layer is within a range of 550 to 670 nm, a central wavelength of reflected light of the third layer is within a range of 430 to 570 nm, a central wavelength of reflected light of the fourth layer is within a range of 550 to 670 nm, a sign of a retardation of the first layer in a film thickness direction at a wavelength of 550 nm and a sign of a retardation of the second layer in a film thickness direction at a wavelength of 550 nm are opposite to each other, and a sign of a retardation of the third layer in a film thickness direction at a wavelength of 550 nm and a sign of a retardation of the fourth layer in a film thickness direction at a wavelength of 550 nm are opposite to each other.-
