    Abstract: An exhaust pipe that forms an exhaust flow channel includes a first flow channel member that forms part of the exhaust flow channel, and a second flow channel member connected in series with the first flow channel member, and forms part of the exhaust flow channel. A downstream-side end of the first flow channel member is inserted into an upstream-side end of the second flow channel member. A communication channel that communicates between an inside and an outside of the exhaust pipe is formed between an outer surface of an insertion part of the first flow channel member and an inner surface of an insertion-receiving part of the second flow channel member. The insertion-receiving part is arranged to face higher than a horizontal direction.

One aspect of the present disclosure is a tail pipe including: an inner tube including a discharge port configured such that an exhaust gas is discharged therefrom; an outer tube arranged so as to form a space between the outer tube and the inner tube by surrounding an outer peripheral surface of the inner tube, an upstream end of the outer tube in a flow direction of the exhaust gas being closed; and at least one communication hole allowing communication between an interior of the inner tube and the space.

A leading end portion of the second tubular member is joined to an outer periphery of the first tubular member. A portion that forms the double pipe portion of the second tubular member comprises a first portion located closer to an end of the first tubular member, and a second portion that is located closer to an end of the second tubular member and that has an enlarged diameter compared with the first portion. In one aspect of the present disclosure, the muffler includes a housing, an outlet pipe, a cover that covers the outlet pipe. The outlet pipe includes an outlet end and at least one communication hole. The outlet end opens into the housing. The at least one communication hole is formed in an outer circumferential surface of the outlet pipe. The cover includes a wall portion and an opening. The wall portion is disposed to overlap with the at least one communication hole in a radial direction of the outlet pipe. The opening communicates the at least one communication hole and an internal space of the housing with each other.

    Abstract: A muffler including a double-pipe structure to muffle sounds in two or more frequencies is provided. The muffler includes an inner and outer pipes with a clearance therebetween. The inner pipe includes a first and second outer surfaces, and, at one end, an opening communicating with the outer pipe. The clearance communicates with an exhaust passage via the opening. The second outer surface forms the opening and is situated closer to the center of the inner pipe than the first outer surface is. A space between the inner and outer pipes is closed due to a contact between the first outer surface and an inner-circumferential surface of the outer pipe. A part of the clearance is formed between the first outer surface and the inner-circumferential surface. The outer-circumferential surfaces of the inner pipe include at least one communication hole that communicates the inner pipe with the clearance.

    Abstract: An exhaust pipe with a double pipe structure that can reduce generation of a turbulent flow of exhaust gases is provided. In one aspect of the present disclosure, the exhaust pipe includes a double pipe and a retention member. The double pipe includes an inner pipe and an outer pipe.
