Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for controlling a device controller of an electronic device comprising a fingerprint sensor to transition from an at least partly active mode to an at least partly in-active mode. The fingerprint sensor itself is used for determining a presence of a finger on the fingerprint sensor, wherein a device controller is maintained in an at least partly active mode if a finger is detected on the fingerprint sensor. The present invention also relates to an electronic device comprising a fingerprint sensor and a device controller.
