Abstract:
A strapping head for a strapping machine includes a containment frame for housing at least a strap launch/rewind path defined by a launch/tensioning assembly including a plurality of driving wheels of the strap, a welding assembly and a gripping and cutting device including locking grippers, a moving abutment plate and a cutter, the driving wheels of the launch/tensioning assembly being brought into rotation by a first actuation motor, wherein all of the launch/tensioning assembly, welding assembly and gripping and cutting device have driving members driven into movement through a single linear cam apt to move alternately in the longitudinal direction through a second actuation motor and having cam profiles both on an horizontal plane and on a vertical plane, and the linear cam is actuated by the second driving motor being integral in rotation with screwed spindle transmission elements mutually cooperating with screw nut elements integral with the linear cam.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for feeding and tensioning the strap in strap applying machines, of the type in which the strap (R) is moved forward and fed between a pair of wheels, one being a drawing wheel (1) rotated by motor means and the other being an idly rotating contrast wheel (2) pressed against the first wheel through the strap (R). The drawing wheel (1) is caused to rotate by an epicyclic train, the free element (9) of which is connected by a mechanical drive to the shaft (8) of the contrast wheel (2), while the contrast wheel (2) is mounted idle onto an eccentric pin (7) of said shaft (8). The mechanical drive comprises a movable control element (17) being apt to act elastically on the shaft (8) of the contrast wheel (2) in order to cause the rotation thereof.
Abstract:
Device to control the feeding of the strap in a strapping machine, comprising at least one fast driving wheel (4) and one slow driving wheel (2) which are mounted on fixed axes, the strap (R) being guided on the periphery of both driving wheels, and wherein pressure elements (5 and 14) are provided to press the strap (R) against the periphery of one and/or the other of the driving wheels, so as to ensure feeding thereof. The pressure elements are mounted on an oscillating sector (8) which is operated in response to tensioning of the strap. On the oscillating sector (8) there is also mounted a strap transmission wheel (13), located at a distance from the pressure elements, which imparts on the oscillating sector (8), according to the tension of the strap (R), an oscillation such as to transfer the contact pressure of the strap from the fast driving wheel (4)--for the fast recovery step--onto the slow driving wheel (2)--for the slow tightening step--merely through the alternative action of the pressure elements.
Abstract:
A machine is provided for forming three-dimensional cardboard boxes starting from a blank folded flat. The machine has a supporting frame which includes a magazine containing many flat blanks for taking one blank at a time from the magazine. The machine is capable of opening the blank, closing the lower smaller flaps of the blank, closing the lower larger flaps, and ejecting a formed box. The lower smaller flaps are closed virtually simultaneously with the opening of the blank in such a manner so as to prevent interference by the smaller flaps with the adjacent larger flaps and thus facilitate closing of the smaller flaps. The opening mechanism rotates around pins, each located at a corner of a box to be formed. At least one of the rotation pins is adjustable in position. Retractable suction cup members make up the opening mechanism.
