    摘要: A drying arrangement for strips or sheets of photosensitive material includes a pair of infrared heating rods which are located on opposite sides and extend transversely of the path of travel of the photosensitive material. A parabolic reflector is associated with each of the heating rods and serves to direct radiant energy from the same onto the photosensitive material. The heating rods lie at the focal points of the respective parabolic reflectors. Each of the reflectors has a symmetry plane which is inclined with reference to the path of the photosensitive material in such a manner that the line of intersection of the symmetry plane and the path is situated downstream of the location where a perpendicular from the focal point of the reflector to the path intersects the latter. By virtue of this arrangement, more radiant energy is directed to the upstream portion of the drying arrangement than to the downstream portion thereof. As a result, a thermal gradient exists in the drying arrangement. This gradient corresponds to the degree of dryness of the photosensitive material. Thus, the radiant energy is most intense in that portion of the drying arrangement where the photosensitive material carries the most liquid and least intense in that portion of the drying arrangement where the photosensitive material is virtually dry.

    摘要: A cassette containing an x-ray film with a latent image is placed in a camera having a memory which receives data relating to the image. The cassette is provided with a window which is closed by a cover and, once the cassette is in the camera, the window is sealed from external light. A moving mechanism then slides away the cover to open the window. The moving mechanism carries a printed circuit board which supports the memory, two parallel rows of LEDs and a microprocessor connected to the memory and the LEDs. The rows extend perpendicular to the direction of movement of the moving mechanism, and the LEDs of the rows are offset relative to one another. After the window has been opened completely, the moving mechanism begins to close the window. As the window closes, the microprocessor activates the LEDs so that the latter print the data in the memory on the portion of the film in the window. The LEDs emit light which has an intensity maximum in the wavelength range of 400 nm to 510 nm and is thus capable of exposing x-ray film sensitive to green light as well as x-ray film sensitive to blue light.

The bottom of the base part is provided with a frame enclosing a film supporting plate through which the radiation is transmitted. The supporting plate has a laminated structure including two face plates of thermoplastically bonded carbon fibers and a comparatively thicker intermediate plate of a synthetic hard foam rubber sandwiched between the face plates and being glued thereto. The face plates are considerably thinner than the intermediate plate in the laminated supporting plate of the present invention.

    摘要: A method of checking the presence or absence of an X-ray sheet film in a cassette inserted into an automatic film unloading or loading apparatus, utilizes a proximity sensor arranged in the apparatus to sense position changes of a sheet film supporting foil which is arranged for a limited movement in the cassette. The proximity sensor is connected to an electronic control device which controls the operational sequence of the unloading and loading apparatus. When the gripping member preferably in the form of a suction cup seizes a sheet film on the supporting means in the cassette, the supporting means remain in its rest position after the sheet film is removed. However, if no film is present on the supporting means, the suction cup seizes the supporting means and displaces the same from its rest position. This change is sensed by the sensor and a signal is delivered to the electronic control circuit which modifies the operational sequence accordingly.
