摘要： The present invention relates to the use of gene therapy to introduce an iodine symporter into cell to increase iodine uptake therein. This approach has particular utility in the treatment of cancers that incapable of removing iodine. In addition, strategies are provided for reducing the export of sodium from cells to improve the efficacy of the iodine symporter gene therapy.
