摘要: An image reading device and an image forming apparatus. The image reading device includes an image reader to read an image of a document, and a color reference component arranged to face the image reader. In the image reading device, the image reader reads the color reference component at a prescribed timing to obtain color reference image data, and correction data generating processes are executed based on the obtained color reference image data to generate correction data used to correct data of the image read by the image reader. In the image reading device, wherein the color reference component is moved relative to the image reader in a direction orthogonal to a direction toward and away from the image reader. The image forming apparatus includes the image reading device, and an image is formed on a recording material based on data of the image read by the image reading device.

摘要: A drive transmission device includes a plurality of drive transmission units and a heat-resistant member. The drive transmission units include a plurality of drive transmission mechanisms to transmit drive force from a plurality of drive sources to a driven member. At least two drive sources of the drive sources are included in at least two drive transmission units of the drive transmission units. The at least two drive sources are disposed at substantially a same height and on a same side with respect to at least two drive transmission mechanisms of the drive transmission mechanisms that correspond to the at least two drive sources. The heat-resistant member is disposed at a position higher than the at least two drive sources in a use state. The at least two drive transmission mechanisms are shielded from the at least two drive sources by the heat-resistant member at the position.

摘要: An inclination detecting device includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to detect, in image information that is an image of an object imaged by an imaging device at an imaging position where a background member forms a background, a first boundary between the background member and a shadow of the object at detection positions in at least one of main-scanning and sub-scanning directions on an outline of the object; detect a second boundary between the object and the shadow of the object at detection positions in at least one of the main-scanning and sub-scanning directions on the outline of the object in the image information; detect a boundary group including detection results of the second boundary at the detection positions; and detect an inclination of the object in the image information from detection results of the first boundary, the second boundary, and the boundary group.
